Kodoani.com – The staff of the live-action movie adapted from the manga Trillion Games by Ryōichi Ikegami shared a new teaser on Monday for the project, accompanied by a series of key images.
The cast will return in the film, including Ren Meguro from the band Snow Man as main character Haru Tennōji and Hayato Sano as Manabu “Gaku” Taira.
Yoshiaki Murao will continue to direct the film, and Daisuke Habara will write the script. Hideaki Kimura will continue to compose music.
The 10-episode live-action series will air on TBS and affiliated channels on July 14.
Other cast members include Kouji Kikkawa as Kazuki Kedōin and Mio Imada as Kirihime Kokuryū. Kanako Momota of idol group Momoiro Clover Z will play Akari Hirotora and Kenjiro Tsuda will play news producer Kunugi.
Netflix will begin streaming the series worldwide in October.
The manga is about Haru, a cheerful person, and Gaku, a serious person, two men who plot to make billions of dollars to buy anything they want in the world. Haru is an excellent, convincing and confident speaker, while Gaku is a talented but clumsy programmer. The two have been classmates since high school and reunite when Gaku's application to a banking company is rejected.
Inagaki (Eyeshield 21, Dr. Stone) and Ikegami (Crying Freeman) launched the manga in Shogakukan's Big Comic Superior magazine in December 2020. The manga has sold over 1.5 million copies and won the Shogakukan Award in December 2020. first.
