Some anime characters seem extremely gentle and calm, but if they are ‘furious’, they almost turn into a completely different monster. Let’s see who it is!
1) Deku (My Hero Academia)
Few characters in My Hero Academia are as kind, peace-loving and understanding as Izuku Midoriya. As demonstrated several times in the series, the green-haired hero student does not have a single seed of evil in his body. Despite the terrible actions of the villains in the anime, Deku always tries to understand and help them.
However, even Izuku has a limit to his creative abilities, a fact many of the villains in the series are well aware of. If someone insults Deku’s friends or family, he will go into a state of rage, losing interest in everything but killing his enemies. Deku is definitely one of the most dangerous anime characters ever when it comes to anger.
2) Gohan (Seven Dragon Balls)
Without a doubt, Gohan is a calm anime character who also has anger issues. When fans first saw Gohan in Dragon Ball Z, he was a shy toddler and had trouble talking to anyone other than his father. A few episodes later, the boy revealed his true strength when he became the first person to cause lasting damage to Raditz after getting angry.
This will become a trend in the franchise, to the point where Gohan is defined by this ethos. Whenever there is a strong opponent that neither Goku nor Vegeta can defeat, warrior Z relies on Gohan to rage and overcome the villain’s power.
3) Atem (Yugioh!)
Atem, the pharaoh living in the Yugi, was known as a kind soul that almost never lost patience. Despite facing the worst villains in the history of Yugioh! Atem didn’t allow anger to overwhelm him. This is largely due to the unwavering support of his friends and inseparable companion, Yugi Muto.
However, if someone was cruel or unwise enough to touch any of Atem’s friends, they would face the most terrible consequences. Pharaoh will use all his skills, spells and monsters to destroy his opponents.
4) Mobs (Mob Psycho 100)
Shigeo, also known as Mob, is one of the most powerful Espers in Japan. His power seems to have no limits. However, Mob is not only one of the calmest and most friendly anime characters, but also a humble person who hates violence and barely uses his powers.
However, this does not mean that he does not know how to use them to cause pain and other destruction. The few people who could infuriate the Mob have witnessed the destructive abilities of this normal-looking, friendly boy. When his anger is out of bounds, Mob is one of the scariest anime characters in the universe.
5) Gon (Hunter X Hunter)
Unlike most hunters who choose their careers for a chance to gain power and glory, Gon did it to honor his father and experience incredible adventures. Many of the friends Gon made along the way would probably describe him as friendly and cheerful. The blue-haired boy is a source of light in the dangerous and sometimes murky world of Hunter X Hunter.
Gon is known to be free from violent outbursts, and fans of the series know that driving him mad means receiving a death sentence. Behind Gon’s friendly smile and optimism lurks a bloodthirsty warrior of those who have mistreated him and his friends.
6) Nezuko (Demon Slayer)
Most demons are creatures of darkness, cannibals. They like to inflict as much pain on their victims as possible. Nezuko is an adorable little girl who constantly battles a hunger for human flesh and just wants to help her brother. She is by far the most “gentle” anime character in Demon Slayer.
But, like any demon, she has the ability to become a killing machine when she gets mad. When Nezuko’s rage becomes uncontrollable, she transforms into a vengeful and sadistic demon who enjoys torturing her opponents. She fights without regard for the property damage she can cause or the people she can kill.

7) Meliodas (Seven Deadly Sins)
Despite being the son of the Demon King and the former heir to the throne of the demon race, Meliodas almost never acts like his peers. The Dragon Sin of Wrath is often seen smiling, sharing drinks with friends or serving drinks in his bar. After falling in love with Elizabeth, a member of the Goddess clan, Meliodas left her violent and ruthless self behind.
Unfortunately, his demonic instincts still abound, which is why when he loses control, he can endanger himself and others. Meliodas loses the ability to control himself when angry, turning into a heartless monster thinking only of death and destruction.
8) Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul)
For most of the first half of the series, fans had to witness a lot about Kaneki and his distaste for fighting. Even after being transformed into a Ghoul, the black-haired boy tried his best to remain as human as possible. He refuses to eat people, fights only to protect his friends, and tries to befriend one of his enemies.
Due to Kaneki’s status as a half-vampire, Jason, a dangerous and unstable person, took great care of him and kidnapped him. After weeks of torture, Kaneki transforms into a stoic warrior who wants nothing more than to inflict pain on his captor. In the anime, this trait is shown not only when torturing his captor, but also many times over.
9) Tsuna (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!)
Tsunayoshi Sawada, also known simply as Tsuna, is the only remaining heir to the prestigious, dangerous and powerful Vongola clan. The brunet trains day and night to become stronger so he can take down his family’s enemies thanks to his tutor, Reborn. The only problem is that Tsuna is a gentle, passive anime character who hates violence.
However, just because he doesn’t like causing suffering to others does not mean that he is incapable of realizing it. This only happened two or three times in the series, but when Tsuna’s friends were in danger or he wasn’t able to protect them, his anger surfaced. In this state, the boy fought with all his might because he could only think of destroying his enemies.
10) Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)
Colonel Mustang is well known among fans as one of the calmest anime characters. Fire Alchemist is known for his cold demeanor and his ability to control it with difficulty. He rarely acts without thinking things through, knowing that the slightest mistake can lead to death for him and his people.
However, Colonel Mustang is shown to still be able to act on his emotions, mainly due to anger. When his best friend Maes Hughes was killed, Mustang didn’t calm down until the individuals involved in his friend’s murder died of the most gruesome deaths. His personality completely changes in those moments, leaving behind a man who wants nothing more than to kill.
