The Marvel movies have a feature that some characters appear only once in one film and do not appear in the sequel, especially the villain. Here are some characters from the MCU that make audiences regret if they only appear once:
1. Erik Killmonger
The character Erik Stevens, aka N’Jadaka and Killmonger, played by actor Michael B. Jordan in the movie Black Panther is very popular with fans. He was even one of the most beloved villains of MCU fans, but unfortunately at the end of the movie he died and only appeared once.
Hela played by actress Cate Blanchett immediately attracted the attention of the audience when appearing in Thor: Ragnarok. Hela is the main female antagonist in Thor: Ragnarok. She is the first daughter of King Odin, but with her cruel nature and great ambition, she was exiled by her own father to a faraway land. In that cold land, Hela is always silently waiting for the opportunity to return to Asgard to turn the Nine Realms into a burial ground.
But unfortunately, this villain has only appeared once.
Jeff Goldblum is one of the iconic legendary actors, he played the Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarok and left many impressions in the hearts of the audience. The Grandmaster is an interesting highlight in Thor: Ragnarok, he owns a planet with cheerful citizens and has a flashy, mercurial fashion sense like himself. But it’s a pity because this character may not appear anymore.
4. Quicksilver – Pietro Maximoff
The feeling wouldn’t be complete without Scarlet Witch but without Quicksilver. Although they appear together in the MCU, their destinies are different. Due to problems with the ownership of the character Quicksilver (although he only appeared in full in Age of Ultron), this guy died in the movie he was released.
5. Vulture – Adrian Toomes
Michael Keaton became a very cool enemy in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming as Adrian Toomes aka Vulture. He has pretty obvious reasons for being evil and he’s also very scary. In fact, there is still the possibility of Vulture returning in the MCU, but for now, nothing is certain.
6. Xu Wenwu
The Mandarin aka Xu Wenwu is also an interesting villain in the MCU, and he’s also quite strong. In the movie Shang-Chi, thanks to the power of the 10 mysterious rings, Wenwu is able to prolong his life and maintain his best physical state. He lived through the centuries, conquering many different countries, participating in the fiercest battles and establishing a mighty Ten Rings organization.
After all, Wenwu is still willing to sacrifice himself, giving all of his power to Shang-Chi so that he can help him defeat the common enemy and protect the village of Ta-Lo.
It was revealed in the movie The Eternals that Ikaris was so loyal to Arishem that he fought against his own allies. It turned out that Ikaris was the one who caused Ajak’s death. Originally one of the film’s main characters, he ended up being the unexpected villain of the story, so fans are hoping that Ikaris can land more roles in the MCU.
Unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Ikaris did indeed die at the end of Eternals. Therefore, unless he is resurrected, there will be no chance to appear again.
