Just because he was banned in the game for 7 days, the male gamer decided to sue Tencent in court but in the end had to receive a bitter ending.
In League of Legends, it’s not uncommon for gamers to be punished by Riot for their toxic behavior, breaking the game, etc. However, there are also many cases where they are really wronged when they are simply poor skills but missed the feed and were reported by their teammates, leading to the acc lock. In addition, sometimes there is a situation where Riot handles it in the way “it is better to make a mistake than to miss it”, which makes many gamers angry.
Recently, a gamer in China filed a lawsuit against Tencent – the current parent company of Riot. The reason is that his account has been banned for 7 days for having negative behavior while playing the game. Of course, this male gamer does not accept that. However, instead of just complaining to Riot, this player decided to file a lawsuit in court. And his request is that Tencent must remove the penalty, and compensate him 500 yuan (about 1.7 million VND), 1 skin and publicly apologize.
However, unfortunately for this gamer, there will be no compensation or compensation at all. Specifically, the court provided evidence provided by Tencent that this male gamer actually had negative behavior in the game, namely the continuous feed. And at the same time, his account was reported by 4 other players, including his opponent.
However, this male gamer continued to not accept the decision of the local court, but sued the central government. However, at the central level, the results are still the same. The court completely rejected his appeal because the gamer failed to provide evidence that Tencent had mistakenly issued or modified the match information. So, instead of waiting 7 days to be able to play again, the male gamer wasted his time with useless lawsuits.
