If you do not know, in the past few years, there is a new concept in the streamer village (especially in the US) called “Swatted”. This term is often used to refer to pranks from the audience when they call “report” at a streamer’s home address for the police to come and disrupt the broadcast. Many famous streamers, with millions of followers on Twitch, have fallen into such a funny situation.
Especially like the famous streamer xQcOW got “Swatted” quite a few times
And the latest victim of this prank is female Hearthstone streamer, Teamfight Tactics – Alliestrasza. Specifically, on February 10, while playing a game during a livestream, Alliestrasza suddenly left the computer when she heard strange noises outside. She then returned to the stream room and told the audience that she was being “Swatted”, even the police force appeared on the air with full weapons.
Alliestrasza is streaming normally…
… then she was questioned by the police, even arrested on live broadcast because someone “reported” a fake crime at her house
After an investigation, the local authorities confirmed that Alliestrasza was innocent and immediately released her and her family. This female streamer then revealed to the audience that someone had found her home address and “reported” a fake case to the police, which led to the above situation. She then also expressed her anger and disappointment at being “pranked” like that: “I can’t understand why people do that” – Alliestrasza shared.
This female streamer shared that she was “handcuffed” by the police because she was considered a danger
If you do not know, Alliestrasza is a longtime female streamer of the Twitch platform and is associated with the Hearthstone game. Right from the nickname, this female streamer also shows that she is a fan of the World of Warcraft when she is based on the name of the Red Dragon queen – Alexstrasza. In addition to Hearthstone, she recently has another hobby of playing Tactics. Currently, this female streamer has surpassed the milestone of 225,000 followers on Twitch.
In addition to the livestream work…
… then this female streamer sometimes plays the role of cosplayer
Perhaps the above incident is a wake-up call for other streamers when they need to keep their home addresses private. It would be bad if one day you were livestreaming and you were pranked too much like what Alliestrasza had to go through.
