At VCS Spring 2022, GAM Esports is still considered one of the brightest candidates. Not only for the VCS Spring Championship and also a ticket to MSI 2022, but also a place to attend the 31st SEA Games as the representative of the host country Vietnam to compete in League of Legends.
With those responsibilities, GAM also gave fans a new slogan: “Rise As One”. At the same time, the yellow – black jersey team also had very good matches in both the VCS Spring 2022 and the SEA Games 31 qualifiers. They defeated the “great rival” CERBERUS Esports right in the match. VCS Army Spring this year as well as being one of 8 teams participating in the 2nd qualifying round of SEA Games 31.
GAM Esports with new slogan in the 2022 season – Rise As One
And recently, GameK had the opportunity to do an interview with GAM jungler and captain Levi to hear him talk about the team’s goals for this season as well as explain the new tagline: “Rise As One”.
Reporter: Hello Levi. First of all, I would like to wish you and the GAM Esports team good health and much success in the tournaments that the whole team participates in. Currently, GAM has had quite good results at VCS Spring 2022 and SEA Games 31 qualifiers for LoL. Having to play both tournaments at the same time, how have you and GAM prepared?
Levi: Hello GameK readers. To answer the above question, we really only know how to compete in both tournaments recently. In terms of preparation, I guess we just have to prepare a fighting spirit and try to do the best we can.
Levi – jungler and captain of GAM Esports
Reporter: Sure, GAM will always set the highest goals for every tournament they attend, but GAM’s opponents will also have similar goals, so do you feel like Spring 2022 and the upcoming matches. Are there any difficulties in the 31st SEA Games qualifiers? And what advantages does GAM have?
Levi: Surely the rest of the teams in VCS will all try their best, even 100% more this year, so the matches will be very tough. But GAM will also “try hard”, even more. Our advantage is that we already have a foundation of good members in each position and there is a good solidarity in the team.
Levi and GAM aim to win every tournament that GAM can attend
Reporter: What do you think about the idea “Vietnam is sure to win a medal at SEA Games 31”? In your opinion, who is the most ominous opponent of Vietnamese League of Legends at this SEA Games?
Levi: The audience has the right to think optimistically when the current LoL in Southeast Asia, Vietnam is very outstanding compared to the rest of the countries. However, in sports there is always an element of surprise. So I hope that no matter which team represents Vietnam to attend the 31st SEA Games, they will not be subjective and look down on their opponents. As for the most ominous opponent of Vietnamese League of Legends at the SEA Games, it must be the participating team itself. As long as you are confident and not subjective, I think it will be fine.
Reporter: Recently, there have been some rumors that if there is a team that both has a place at SEA Games 31 and is a VCS representative at MSI, it will be forced to quit MSI. What does GAM’s side say about this information as we all know, GAM’s goal is still to try at all tournaments, including MSI, SEA Games 31…
Levi: Surely any team that has both won the VCS and won a place at the 31st SEA Games wants to participate in both tournaments. Our goal is also to win all the tournaments. I and the whole GAM team always think that competing in SEA Games 31 represents Vietnam. This is a great opportunity to bring home a gold medal for the country, thereby helping e-sports be recognized by more people.
Reporter: This year GAM’s slogan is “Rise As One”, can you explain to fans the meaning of this slogan? And what is the message that GAM wants to send to the Vietnamese LoL community in general and the world in particular, through this slogan?
Levi: We can literally mean “Rise as a team”. The collective here is both GAM Esports, we rose to take the No. 1 position. The collective is also the audience, fans of GAM and the entire community that loves e-sports. Because we want to represent Vietnam in international tournaments and prove the strength of Vietnamese League of Legends after 2 years of absence from international tournaments.
Mr. Izumin – Senior Manager of GAM: This slogan also expresses our wish that the name GAM Esports will be known more widely, not just within the framework of the e-sports tournament.
Mr. TK Nguyen – CEO of NRG.Asia: We wouldn’t be able to do it without your support, the audience who are watching and supporting GAM and the community that loves e-sports. Join us Rise As One towards a brilliant 2022.
Thank you Levi and GAM Esports team for collaborating with GameK to conduct the interview. Wishing you and the GAM team a lot of success, achieving all the titles in every tournament that the team attends in this 2022 season.
