The developer of Texas Chain Saw Massacre Game will give players three killers instead of just one to make the game more interesting.
Texas Chain Saw Massacre is inspired by horror survival games, but developer Gun Media’s next game will include up to 3 killers. The upcoming Texas Chain Saw Massacre, created by the developer Gun Media behind the highly successful Friday 13th project, will introduce a new twist on the multiplayer survival genre. The game will honor the iconic horror series about the murderer Leatherface as he decides to hunt down the living. After many rumors about Friday the 13th developer making The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game, the project was officially revealed at The Game Awards 2021 in December.
While not much is known about Gun Media’s Texas Chain Saw Massacre game yet, what we do know for now is that the game will have gameplay similar to Friday the 13th: The Game. Survivors must work together to complete tasks, such as starting a car or calling the police, in order to escape alive. Meanwhile, the player controls the villain who has the possession of various supernatural powers that allow them to track down and thwart others seeking to survive. Friday 13th’s Kane Hodder will appear in The Texas Chain Saw Massacre as the killer alongside Leatherface, meaning you’ll now have more of a threat than just one enemy to deal with on the project. Gun Media’s next.
As detailed by Gun Media in a recent blog post, the Texas Massacre will feature teams of four survivors and three killers. The developer revealed that the Sawyer family is just as important to the franchise as Leatherface itself, so the upcoming title will let gamers play as three members of a cannibal clan. This is a big change from the often compared Friday 13th: The Game and Dead by Daylight, and it has affected every aspect of the game. Everything from level design to character balance has to be tweaked, and the 3vs4 mode setup creates a balanced experience when it comes to cooperation for survivors and killer teams alike.
While the Texas Chain Saw Massacre game will focus exclusively on Leatherface and his family, the iconic murderous villain has appeared in other survival titles as well. Although Dead by Daylight has removed Leatherface’s mask due to recent reports of harassment. Behavior Interactive’s horror title includes many horror icons, such as Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Pinhead and Leatherface himself. However, some players are said to have used one of Leatherface’s black leather masks to harass other gamers, leading to their disqualification from the game.
With three members of the Sawyer family ruthlessly pursuing a small group of survivors, the game promises to be a foray into the multiplayer horror genre. Let’s wait and see if Gun Media’s next game can become a masterpiece or not?
