Sony and Honda are collaborating on a portable entertainment vehicle.
Sony and Honda can bring more entertainment to your trip thanks to plans to integrate PlayStation 5 support into electric cars in the future. In an interview with the Financial Times, Sony Honda Mobility president and chief operating officer Izumi Kawanishi said it’s possible to integrate PS5 into cars. Next-generation consoles and other Sony offerings are part of a larger vision to create a better entertainment vehicle that competes with other electric vehicles like Tesla.
Mr. Kawanishi said: “Sony has entertainment content, services and technology that can impact people. We are adapting these assets for mobile, and this is our strength. us before Tesla”. Sony Honda Mobility CEO Mr. Yasuhide Mizuno explained future hardware equipment will serve entertainment and network provision. Sony and Honda formed a joint venture earlier this year, and Mr. Kawanishi shared part of their plan that includes advances in “autonomous driving”. The chief operating officer acknowledges that fully autonomous driving is far from perfect and that the technology needs significant reform to achieve their vision.
The electric car market already has a number of options available for integrating gaming in trips. Tesla owners can play classic titles like Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), while Model X and Model S cars have hardware powerful enough to run The Witcher 3. The company has also tested Steam integration for company vehicles.
