According to several sources, a group of the richest billionaires in the world are pouring money for a huge treasure hunt in GreenLand, Denmark.
Climate change and global warming are causing the ice sheets in Greenland to melt. However, in the eyes of investors, this is a new mineral mine with extremely abundant potential, opening the future for “clean energy”.
Greenland – autonomous region of Denmark, the largest island in the world is located entirely in the Arctic. With a total area of more than 2 million square kilometers, but only about 50,000 people live because more than 80% of the surface is snow and ice.
The group of billionaires in addition to Bill Gates leading also includes Jeff Bezos, Michael Bloomberg and a few other names. These tycoons believe that beneath the ice, deep in the earth on Disko Island and Greenland’s Nuussuaq peninsula, there is a huge amount of minerals that is enough to power an entire city. They also believe that this mineral resource has not been exploited because so far, the ice layer is too thick, causing great obstacles.
Specifically, the group of billionaires is pouring money into Kobold Metals, a company specializing in mineral mining based in California (USA). This company will cooperate with Bluejay Mining Group to apply for a license and conduct mining for rare minerals in Greenland at the request of billionaires.
It is known that this mineral source will be focused on research and development of electric vehicles and new clean energy sources.
Currently, there are more than 30 geologists, physicists, mining experts, etc. and many staffs have been present at the site where Kobold and Blujay conducted mining to survey the terrain in advance.
They also use AI technology to analyze the most accurate data to optimize productivity, determine exactly where to dig to get more minerals.
A representative of Kobold Metals has confirmed the huge funding from the above billionaires.
According to the Geological Survey of Denmark, Greenland has the potential to become an extremely rich mineral deposit in the future. In addition to mineral resources for energy supply, large reserves of gold, silver, copper, etc. and other precious metals will also be exploited, especially rare earths.
The Greenland government believes that this area will contribute a significant part to the regional economy thanks to the upcoming mining activities.
