5. Galio (43 times, 65.1% win rate)
Since being remade in season 7, Galio has become a champion whose playstyle is very suitable for LCK teams. Stable laning with many Mage champions as well as a good teamfight ultimate help Galio always have a strong foothold in any meta.
For a player with great skills and vision like Faker, Galio is really a better choice. Therefore, this general is of course always in the top favorites of the “Demon King”. The proof is that Galio is used by Faker quite regularly in tournaments from 2017 to 2021. However, because this champion is not part of the “team carry” group, Faker rarely brings him into decisive matches.
4. LeBlanc (46 times, win rate 78.3%)
As one of the champions that made Faker’s name in the early years of his career, LeBlanc is really a “trump card” of this player in most games with his ability to use extremely variable. At one point, LeBlanc in Faker’s hand achieved an almost absolute win rate and had an unbeaten streak for more than 2 years. That makes SKT T1’s opponents always have to reserve a ban for this champion.
This is also a rare champion used by Faker from the year he debuted in the professional arena to the present time in the LCK Spring 2022. So the fact that Faker’s LeBlanc has never been chosen as the World Championship skin is really it’s so regret. And for those who don’t know, with his virtual transformation skill set, LeBlanc’s is one of the most difficult champions to play in League of Legends. So you see, Faker’s skills are really too “terrible” even though at the moment, he can be considered as stepping on the other side of the slope of his career.
3. Ryze (72 hits, 62.5% win rate)
Riot Games was once recommended by the community to design the Faker Ryze skin to show the terror of this champion in the hands of the T1 mid laner. That is enough to confirm that the Rune Mage is really a name associated with Faker’s brand.
The fact that Ryze has been reworked and nerfed so many times over the years has also been attributed by gamers to Faker’s excellent performances with this champion. In an interview, Faker once admitted that Ryze would be his champion of choice if it was a match in the moment of birth. Like LeBlanc, Ryze in Faker’s hand had a 12-match unbeaten streak from 2015 to 2017.
2. Orianna (72 times, 63.9% win rate)
In SKT T1’s classic 10k gold flip against EDward Gaming at Worlds 2017, Faker’s Orianna had a 4-player Sound Wave to help the home team turn the game around. It is also a prime example why Orianna is always the choice of many teams in decisive matches.
SKT T1’s legendary turn of events against EDG
For Faker is no exception, Orianna is used a lot by “Demon King”, especially in BO 3, BO 5 matches when the opponent bans all Mid lane champions in the meta. Although not the most impressive Orianna player, Faker has always proved his certainty and effectiveness every time he uses this champion in important matches.
1. Azir (101 times, win rate 67.3%)
Totally superior to any other champion, Azir is the pick Faker has used the most in his career. Like Orianna, this is a champion that can be used regardless of the meta, has the ability to promote good power and create mutations in teamfights.
In seasons 10 and 11, when his skills were no longer superior to mid laners like at his peak, Azir was considered a very suitable choice for Faker. At one point, T1’s Mid lane almost exclusively spammed this champion during a certain period, while still maintaining the necessary effectiveness. Azir is also one of the champions with SKT T1’s World Championship skin. However, this skin is not Faker’s, but is owned by former Easyhoon player.
