As the multiverse grows prominently in the MCU, the Doctor Strange sequel will once again center on this, and continue unfinished stories from Spider-Man: No Way Home, as well as the shows. The other Disney+ of the MCU.
The new Doctor Strange 2 trailer promises to feature new monsters and variations of Doctor Strange.
Before that, Doctor Strange became a wizard in his first solo film, he cemented his place as Master of the Mystic Arts in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, where he proved his worth to The Avengers in his battle against Thanos.
However, Doctor Strange 2 will present Stephen Strange with greater challenges. The forks from his universe-altering magic in No Way Home will put the reality of “Doctor Trang” and others in jeopardy once again. However, with these challenges, Doctor Strange will not have to fight alone.
Joining Doctor Strange and Wong will be Wanda Maximoff, now Scarlet Witch (will continue the timeline in WandaVision). Doctor Strange 2 will also see the debut of America Chavez, a Marvel Comics superhero from another reality who becomes the main guardian of the universe.
With the multiverse opening up once again, it’s no surprise that at least one new variant of Doctor Strange, called Defender Strange, will also support the main one. And here are the interesting details that the new trailer gives us, and perhaps many people have accidentally overlooked them while watching.
America Chavez
America Chavez, she is a superhero of Latin American origin and possesses very special powers. She can open dimensional holes to other realities from which she can easily move between realities without the help of Infinity Stones or any other tool.
At the beginning of the trailer, we see a multiverse monster trying to fight America Chavez – maybe these are the details that appeared in Stephen Strange’s nightmare. However, we still don’t know how Doctor Strange 2 will change America Chavez’s origins, so she may not yet have superpowers. However, Chavez appears throughout the rest of the trailer, demonstrating her transcendent powers from the comics.
The wedding of Dr. Christine Palmer
The trailer also shows Dr. Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams), friend, colleague and lover of Stephen Strange, may be getting married (Stranger is not the groom, however). We can speculate that Strange died in Thanos’ snap and Palmer may have survived and in the meantime she found a new love. This scene will likely take place at the beginning of the film, before monstrous realities from the multiverse invade Strange’s reality.
Rintrah
Rintrah, a Minotaur-like being, is revealed among the other Masters of Mystic Arts when a mysterious cloud surrounds them. Rintrah is a supporting character of Doctor Strange in the comics, who briefly served as Strange’s apprentice. It’s unclear how big of a role Rintrah will have in Doctor Strange 2. Like America Chavez, Rintrah comes from an alternate reality in the comics.
Mordo is using Ultron Drone?
As promised on Doctor Strange 2016, Karl Mordo returns, looking to escape the magical world. Mordo seems to have captured Doctor Strange, and restrained him with a team that looks like Ultron Drones. Mordo may have repaired them from the ruins of Sokovia and empowered them with his magic, making them submit to him.
Patrick Stewart’s Return as Professor X
In the easily shocking and amusing moment of Doctor Strange in the trailer is the return of Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X. X-Men Founder’s Edition first appeared in 2000.
While Stewart’s voice in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer is unmistakable, the scene doesn’t provide a clear view of Professor X, perhaps the MCU will save this for another trailer or movie. released in theaters.
Strange Supreme
As shown in the first Doctor Strange teaser at the end of No Way Home, an evil variant of Stephen Strange, also played by Benedict Cumberbatch, will appear in Doctor Strange 2. It’s unclear whether this evil version of the story will appear. Strange’s will be similar to the variation seen in Marvel’s What If…? Or is it a new variant? However, this is very stimulating for the fans and it is also worth the wait when the movie is officially released.
Mysterious glowing character
In the trailer, a glowing humanoid flies through the kaleidoscope of reality. This character could be the Human Torch or another character from the Doctor Strange comics. With the multiverse unfolding once again, the character could become a hero from another reality, much like Professor X in the Fox X-Men movies. However, this unidentified character attacks Scarlet Witch, so it could also be a villain rather than Johnny Storm.
Zombie Strange
One of the final shots of the trailer shows an unsettling image of what appears to be another variation of Doctor Strange. This Stephen Strange seems to have merged with dark beings from another universe, turning him into a zombie.
