The results of the anime auction organized by Heritage highlight the amount of money people are willing to spend on major anime items from Dragon Ball Z, Akira and other hit series.
Heritage’s event called “Anime Art and Everything Cool” took place last weekend. Anime gets attention at auction

However, the biggest sum went to Dragon Ball Z, where a copy of Vegeta’s “Ultimate Atonement” anime sold for $144,000. The moment in Vegeta’s Final Atonement comes from the Dragon Ball Z “Buu Saga,” where Vegeta makes a deal with Babidi to gain more power so he can finally defeat Goku. The popularity of the Dragon Ball series continues to this day and a new series was recently announced at New York Comic Con called Dragon Ball Daima. This series will be a bridge between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, telling an original story by series creator Akira Toriyama. In it, a plot leads to a wish being made to Shenron that turns the Z Fighters into children, including Goku, Vegeta, Supreme Kai and more. The cast must then travel across new worlds to discover who this group is and how to return to their adult forms.
