Recently, the prequel to the famous anime Burn the Witch was announced to be in production, along with a character introduction video.
On September 16, 2023, it was announced on the film’s official website that under the production of Studio Colorido and Team Yamahitsuji, the Burn the Witch anime will return with a prequel titled Burn the Witch #0.8 . This exciting news is accompanied by a promotional video that briefly introduces the main characters. However, the official release date of the film has not been announced yet.
Based on the manga of the same name by Tite Kubo, the Burn The Witch anime takes place in the same universe as Bleach. The aforementioned second anime project for the Burn the Witch series will adapt the original one-shot chapter released by Tite Kubo, which is currently in production.
A prequel to the Burn the Witch anime is titled Burn the Witch #0.8 and is said to be in production.
After episode 23 of bleach thousand-year blood war premiered, it was announced that the Burn the Witch anime will have a new anime titled Burn The Witch #0.8. This marks the second anime project for Tite Kubo’s Burn the Witch series that takes place in the same universe as the popular manga masterpiece, Bleach.
To increase anticipation, a short teaser promotional video was also released. The teaser did not reveal too much of the film’s content, but it did give us a glimpse of the main characters such as Noel, Ninny, Balgo, Osushi and other characters in Tite Kubo’s manga. Notably, the upcoming Burn the Witch #0.8 will be adapted from the original prequel one-shot manga chapter titled Don’t Judge a Book By Its Cover.
This one-shot chapter consists of 64 pages that establish the plot of the series and introduce the main characters. Unfortunately, neither the PV teaser nor the official Twitter of the Burn the Witch anime provide details about the anime’s release date. However, it has been confirmed that the previous cast will reprise their roles.
Studio Colorido and Yamahitsuji Group will produce the anime, with Tatsuro Kawano returning as director. Additionally, Asami Tano will once again take on the role of Ninny Spangcole, while Yuina Yamada will voice Noel Niihashi once again
Additionally, the official website for the Burn the Witch anime also lists Hiroaki Hirata as Billy Banx and Shinba Tsuchiya as Balgo Parks. In other words, all of the original voice actors will return for the Burn the Witch prequel anime project.
