Kodoani.com – The MF Bunko J Summer School Festival stream event on Sunday revealed the main visual for the anime’s third season Classroom of the Elite.
The stream also announced the brand’s first mobile game titled Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e ~Merge Puzzle Tokubetsu Shiken~ (Classroom of the Elite ~Merge Puzzle Special Test~). The game will be released in early 2024.
The anime has been delayed from its scheduled release in 2023 due to “various circumstances” and will now premiere in January 2024.
The second season premiered in July 2022.
The directors of the first season Seiji Kishi and Hiroyuki Hashimoto return as general managers, with Yoshihito Nishouji as the credited director at Lerche. Hayato Kazano oversaw the series’ script and Kazuaki Morita returned to design the characters.
The first season premiered in July 2017. The second and third seasons will adapt the complete freshman story of the original story.

The light novel The Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 (Yōkoso Jitsuryoku Shijō Shugi no Kyōshitsu e 2-nen Sei Hen) is the sequel to the main light novel series. The first novel volume of the new second-year series debuted in Japan in January 2020 as the 15th book in the series (the series has three volumes of short story anthologies “in between” prior to the start of the second year).
