Daisuke Hirakawa, Katsuyuki Konishi, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Namikawa, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Nozomu Sasaki are voiced in LIDEN FILMS
Kodoani – A website opened on Wednesday to announce the Eikyū Shōnen Eternal Boysan anime that will air on Fuji TV and other channels this fall.
The story revolves around Eikyū Shōnen of the management company Manpuku Geinō Production, a group of male idols in their 40s. They strive to become idols and overcome barriers such as their age and physical condition.
Daisuke Hirakawa as Kentarō Sanada, a 40-year-old former salaried employee whose company suddenly went bankrupt.
Katsuyuki Konishi as Naoki Ishida, a 39-year-old former middle school teacher
Jun Fukuyama as Haru Asai, a 35-year-old former soccer player
Daisuke Namikawa as Tsuyoshi Imagawa, a 37-year-old former child actor turned vocalist
Toshiyuki Morikawa as Daisuke Yamanaka, 45, the former managing director of the talent agency Manpuku Geinō Production
Nozomu Sasaki as Makoto Kakizaki, 41 years old, former owner of the #1 variety club
Director migmi is directing the anime at LIDEN FILMS, and Kimiko Ueno is overseeing the series’ script. The story idea was originally credited to the real-life “Manpuku Geinō Production”, in fact LIDEN FILMS, Fuji TV, and Polygon Pictures. Seiko Asai is adapting ma2’s original character designs for the anime.
Ryō Tanaka is directing the sound and Yukari Hashimoto (Mr. Osomatsu, Komi Can’t Communicate) is composing the music. King Records is handling the songs. The manga adaptation will begin serialization in Kadokawa’s May issue of Comic Gene on April 15, and the College of Performing Arts Human Academy is collaborating on the project.
