Toyonaga voices a 16-year-old horse racing academy student with a high sense of responsibility
Kodoani.com – Aniplex revealed the new cast on Sunday for the original TV anime Fanfare of Adolescence (Gunjō no Fanfare). Toshiyuki Toyonaga will play the character Hayato Hosho. Hayato is a 16-year-old boy from Hokkaido who attends the horse racing academy. The guy won an equestrian tournament in elementary school, and is very serious with a high sense of responsibility.
The anime will premiere in the spring of 2022.
Makoto Katō (Bloom Into You, Lord El-Melloi II’s Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace note) is directing the series at studio Lay-duce. Hiro Kanzaki (Eromanga Sensei, EUREKA SEVEN AO, Oreimo) is designing the characters and Hiroyuki Sawano (Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins) is composing the music.

The story takes place at a horse racing academy, which trains boys to become horse racers. The three-year academy is very competitive, and those who want to enter must not only pass an academic test, but also a physical and fitness test. Yū Arimura is a famous former idol who fell in love with horse racing after seeing it for the first time and wanted to join the academy. Shun Kazanami grew up on an island, and only experienced horse races through radio shows while growing up. Amane comes from an upper-class family in England, and his father is a former jockey. Amane previously attended equestrian academies in various countries. The show follows these three 15-year-old boys and others at the academy.
