The official website of Anime Golden Kamuy announced on December 9, 2022 that Season 4 of the Anime will start airing again in April 2023 from the first episode (episode 37 overall of the Anime).
The staff have delayed episodes 7-13 of Season 4 due to the passing of an unnamed main staff member on November 1st. The announcement stated that the deceased main staff member was “indispensable” to the production, so the production team and Anime studio Brains Base decided to delay it after some discussions.
Season 4 of the Anime aired on channels Tokyo MX, YTV, Hokkaido Broadcasting and BS11 on October 3 and on Channel Neco on October 7.
Studo Brains Base is animating Season 4 instead of Geno Studio. Shizutaka Sugahara is the main director, replacing director Hitoshi Nanba. Noboru Takagi will continue to oversee the film’s script. Takumi Yamakawa is the character designer, replacing Kenichi Ohnuki. ALI performed the opening theme song “Never Say GoodBYE” with Mummy-D. The SPELLBOUND will perform the ending theme song “Subete ga Soko ni Arimasu You Ni”.
The first season of the Anime premiered in April 2018. The second season premiered in October 2018. Season 3 premieres in October 2020.
