Kodoani.com – Anime adaptation of Ceez and Tenmaso’s light novel series is In the Land of Leadale (Leadale no Daichi nite) revealed two new cast members and a new visual for the anime on Sunday.
The new voice cast includes:
Azusa Tadokoro as Caerina
Tomoya Takagi as Caerick
The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX station on January 5 at 11:30 p.m. EST (9:30 a.m. EST), and the anime will also premiere on Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS NTV, and AT-X channels.

Daisuke Ono as Skargo
Kaori Nazuka as Mai-Mai
Tomokazu Sugita as Kartatz
Yui Otagiri as “Key”
Kanako Yanagihara as Lytt

This will be Yukimura’s first lead role.
Masayuki Yanase (Himegoto, If It is for My Daughter, I’d Even to Defending a Demon Lord, By the Grace of the Gods) is directing the anime at MAHO FILM, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord, Dropkick on My Devil!, Is the order a rabbit?) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Toshihide Masudate, Eri Kojima, and Kaho Deguchi are designing the characters.
Masanori Tsuchiya is directing the sound and Kujira Yumemi is composing the music. Azusa Tadokoro performed the ending theme song “Hakoniwa no Kōfuku” (Happiness in a Miniature Garden).
Yen Press licensed the novel series and it describes the story:
The last thing she can remember is that her life support begins to fail. Her body has been horribly damaged after a fateful accident and the only freedom left in her life comes from Leadale’s VR world. How is she in a place exactly like her game except 200 years have passed?
Ceez began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let’s Become Novelists) website in November 2010, and ended the story in December 2012. Ceez then published six chapters after the end of the story from 2013 to 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the story in edited print editions starting January 2019. Yen Press began publishing the novel in English in October 2020.
Writer Ryo Suzukaze and artist Dashio Tsukimi launched a manga adaptation of the novel on Kadokawa’s Dengeki PlayStation Comic Web manga website in 2019. Yen Press has also licensed the manga in English.
