Official Love Live YouTube channel! began posting a video on Sunday announcing that Love Live! Super star!! The anime will have a second season.
The anime premiered on public broadcaster NHK’s E-tele channel on July 11 and aired for 12 episodes. Funimation streamed the series as it aired.
“Liella”, the new idol group starring in the anime, released their first single “Hajimari wa Kimi no Sora” (The Start Is Your Sky) for a limited time on February 28. The song debuted in 2D in the game Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS on April 7 and the single with the anime music video also went on sale on April 7. The group held their first single release event on May 6.
