Kodoani.com – Official Twitter account for the anime adaptation of the light novel series “The Apothecary Diaries” (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto or Narrative of the Medicine Master) by Naruto Hyūga and Touko Shino announced on Friday that Noriko Hidaka will take on the role of Fengming, the head maid of Ah-Duo. The character will appear in the show’s 10th episode on Saturday, titled “Honey.”
The anime began airing on October 21 with the first three episodes and will span over two seasons (half a year). Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan and also has an English dub.
The anime production team includes Norihiro Naganuma (special episode director of The Ancient Magus’ Bride season 1) as director at TOHO Animation and OLM, and Akinori Fudesaka as assistant director. Yukiko Nakatani (Go! Princess Precure, Tropical-Rouge! Precure) designed the characters, and Shōji Hata served as sound director. Satoru Kousaki (Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song-), Kevin Penkin (Made in Abyss), and Arisa Okehazama (ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister!) composed the music. Ryokuōshoku Shakai performed the opening theme song “Hana ni Natte” (Become a Flower), while Aina The End performed the ending theme song “Aikotoba” (Password).

Hyūga began serializing the manga on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become a Novelist) website in October 2011. Shufunotomo began publishing the novels in print with illustrations by Shino in August 2011. 2014. Nekokurage launched a manga adaptation in Gangan magazine in May 2017. Square Enix Manga & Books is releasing the manga adaptation in English and will also publish the light novel series in print starting this month. May 2024.
