Ayako Kawasumi as Motoharu’s editor Shirakawa; syudou performed the new opening song
Kodoani.com – Anime series adapted from manga Play It Cool, Guys (Cool Doji Danshi) by Kokone Nata posted a promotional video and main image for the second season. The video introduces a new character (and her voice cast) and the opening theme song for the second season, due out January 2.

Musician and producer syudou performed the new opening theme song “Warau na!” (Do not laugh!).
PCG — a group consisting of four main characters, voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi, Kouki Uchiyama, Yuichiro Umehara, and Shōya Chiba — performed the ending theme song “Taisetsu” (Precious) for the second season. Saeki YouthK wrote the lyrics, composed and arranged the song. The song’s album will be released on February 23.
The anime premiered on TV Tokyo on October 10.
Chiaki Kon directs the anime at Studio Pierrot. Makoto Uezu oversees the series’ script, and Airi serves as both the character designer and the animation director. Masato Nakayama composed the music.

Nata launched the manga in June 2019 on the Gangan pixiv website, where the manga is underway. The manga ranked 16th for the 2020 edition Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This comic is awesome!) for a list of female readers. The manga also ranked seventh in the “Manga Web General Election” by pixiv and Nippon Shuppan Hanbai, Inc in 2019.
