Rika Nagae voices the main character Mitsuha Yamano; Hiroshi Tamada is directing the anime at Felix Film
Kodoani.com – Official website for the anime adaptation of the light novel series Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement (Rōgo ni Sonaete Isekai de 8-Man-Mai no Kinka o Tamemasu) revealed the anime’s first voice cast, staff, and a teaser image on Monday.
Rika Nagae will voice the main character Mitsuha Yamano.
Hiroshi Tamada (Macross Delta episode director) is directing the anime at Felix Film. Akihiko Inari (Chōyū Sekai: Being the Reality) is in charge of the anime series’ scripts. Yūki Fukuchi (Plunderer) is designing the characters for the anime.
Keisuke Motoe, the manga adaptation of the novel, also drew the illustration below to commemorate the anime’s announcement.
One day, Mitsuha fell off a cliff and was transported to a medieval European-style world! After a near-death encounter with a pack of wolves, she later realizes that she can travel between two worlds – this world and her own. Taking advantage of this ability, Mitsuha decides to live in both worlds and calculates that she will need 80,000 gold coins to be able to retire! Mitsuha now has to think of different ways to collect her gold coins!
FUNA (Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?) launched the novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2015, and Kodansha published the first novel in print with pictures. teffish’s illustrations in June 2017. The seventh volume was published on August 2. Sol Press had previously licensed the novel.
Keisuke Motoe launched a manga adaptation in the web magazine “Suiyōbi no Sirius” in Niconico in June 2017. The 10th volume was published on Monday.
