Character voices are also revealed in the October 5th MAPPA x Madhouse anime
The website of the anime that combines MAPPA and Madhouse is takt op. Destiny in Bandai Namco Arts and takt op by DeNA. (pronounced “takt opus”) The project posted its second promotional video on Tuesday. The video previews the opening theme song and the characters’ voices.
In the anime’s story, one day, a black meteor crashed into the world, and the world completely changed. The meteor creates peculiar monsters called D2, which begin to run wild. D2 is very quick to ban all music, which is one of the things that can get over them. But there are some who have resisted D2. They are young women who hold the power of music, “Musicart.” These young women hold “scores” that can defeat monsters. And there is also the person who leads these women, the Conductor.
The anime takes place in the US in 2047, which fell apart thanks to D2. Takt, a conductor, collaborates with Musicart named Destiny. Takt wishes for music to return to the world, and Destiny wishes to destroy D2. Their purpose is to travel to New York.
Kouki Uchiyama starred in the anime as Takt Asahina. Other members include:

DeNA and Ouji Hiroi (Sakura Wars author) are credited with the original work. Yuuki Itoh (Granblue Fantasy the Animation, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid) is directing the anime at MAPPA and Madhouse. Kiyoko Yoshimura (Linebarrels of Iron, The God of High School) is handling the series’ script. LAM is credited with the original character designs, and Reiko Nagasawa (sub character designer on Overlord III) is adapting those designs for the animation. Yoshihiro Ike (The Great Passage, Dororo, Tiger & Bunny) is composing the music.
In addition to the role of character designer, Reiko Nagasawa is also one of the main animation directors along with Toshiyuki Kanno. Toru Iwasawa is directing the action. Daiki Harashina is designing the D2, and Takeshi Maenami is designing the weapon. The art direction is by e-caesar, and Ayako Suenaga is the color lead artist. Mahiro Tamai is directing the 3D CG animation, and Hideki Ono is the 3D CG animation director. Akane Fushihara is the director of photography, and Kashiko Kimura is the editor. Fumiyuki Go is directing the sound.
The ryo artist (supercell) is writing, composing and arranging the opening theme song “Takt” that Mafumafu & gaku sing. Mika Nakashima is performing the ending theme song “Symphonia.”
The anime will premiere on October 5 at 24:00 on TV Tokyo and its five affiliates, as well as on BS TV Tokyo. Amazon Prime Video will then be the first to stream the anime an hour later in Japan. The first two episodes will have a pre-screening with the three main actors on September 26 at the Shinjuu Piccadilly theater in Tokyo.
The project will also include a game. LAM is sketching initial character designs. Musician Marasy is a “key pianist.” The yish artist is in charge of the background concept art. Orchestra conductor Hirofumi Kurita is noted as a music research advisor.
