Kodoani.com – Official Twitter account for anime Teppen – !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! revealed the promotional video, images, and opening song on Monday, and will premiere in July. A website was also opened for the series.
Teppen— All Stars, a unit of 15 main members, will perform the opening theme song “Teppen— Tengoku ~ TOP OF THE LAUGH !!!~.”
The anime will have an event starring 15 actors on August 21 at the Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo.
Artist Namamugi and story developer Inujun is based on the manga by Seiyū San-Shimai Team Y, a team formed by voice actresses Mikoi Sasaki, Aimi, and Ayasa Itō. A coming-of-age story about three high school girls who aspire to rise to the top of the comedy world. Sasaki voices Yuzu Hosono (left in the image below), Itō voices Yayoi Sakamoto (centre) and Aimi voices Yomogi Takahashi (right).

Shinji Takamatsu is directing the anime, while Toshinori Watanabe (Soul Buster, Tokyo Ghoul: re, Bungo and Alchemist -Gears of Judgment-) is directing the anime at Drive.
Jun Kumagai (Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū, Bungo and Alchemist -Gears of Judgment-, Aquarion Logos) is writing and supervising the anime’s scripts.
Yoshiyuko Ōkubo (Senki Zesshō Symphogear G, Senki Zesshō Symphogear GX, Senki Zesshō Symphogear episode XV, animation director) is designing the characters.
Yayoi Sakamoto, an avid fan of comedians and action comedians, enrolls in Kazuki Private High School in Nanba (Osaka’s entertainment district is famous for being the starting point for many comedians). She reunites with Yomogi Takahashi, a childhood friend who formed the comedy duo “Konamonzu” with her when they were children. Before long, they find themselves doing the same old park routine together, to enter a local shopping mall competition. Just then, a mysterious girl called out to them.
Seiyū San-Shimai Team Y’s YouTube channel has over 133,000 subscribers. Namamugi launched the manga in Monthly Bushiroad on January 8, 2021, and Kadokawa will publish the manga’s second volume on January 20. The manga already has its own events and a voiceover television series.
The anime’s original announcement listed the anime’s full name as Teppen – !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with 15 exclamation points (instead of just three as in the manga title) and information that 15 exclamation points have meaning. (The Teppen -!!! manga is not related to Takaki Konari’s 1993-1996 Teppen manga or the original 1996 anime adaptation.)
