Kodoani.com – The official website for the TV anime adaptation of the manga The Duke of Death and His Maid (Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid) by Koharu Inoue revealed on Thursday a new teaser promotional video, visuals and a July premiere for the second season.
The first season of the television anime premiered in Japan in July 2021 and aired for 12 episodes.
When the duke was a boy, a witch caused every living thing he touched to die. Unable to bear such a cursed child, his family sent him to live in an old mansion. Now a young man, his only companions are an elderly housekeeper and his childhood friend, a blond maid named Alice. Even though touching the duke meant instant death, Alice kept teasing him, getting close and flirting mercilessly. But although Alice likes to make the duke blush, her feelings for him are real. Can the two find a way to break the witch’s curse?
Inoue launched the manga on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry manga website in October 2017. The manga ended in May 2022, and Shogakukan published the 16th and final volumes in July.
