Kanji Tsuda returns as Storyteller with Akira Funada directing at ILCA
Kodoani.com – Anime Yamashibai: Japanese Ghost Stories announced on Saturday that the anime will get an 11th season to premiere on TV Tokyo in July. The new series will have a “again” or “again” theme as it tells new urban legends.
Kanji Tsuda takes on the role of Storyteller.
Akira Funada is again directing the anime at studio ILCA with yell.Hiromu Kumamoto and Mitsuhi Sasagi are writing the script again.

The original Yamashibai: Japanese Ghost Stories short anime series features six-minute horror stories based on urban legends in a modern day setting. Short story inspired by the Shōwa period illustrated paper theatrical work (kamishibai).
The first season of the anime premiered in July 2013 and the 10th and most recent season premiered in January 2022. The project inspired a spinoff, The World Yamizukan, in the spring of 2012. 2017. The anime also has an anime spin-off Ninja Collection. The anime premiered in July 2020.
A live-action anime adaptation premiered in Japan in September 2020. This production did not use regular video footage but instead still images of landscape paintings. with photos of the cast, in the style of the original anime. The live-action episodes feature both remakes of popular stories from the anime and the original stories itself. The cast includes idols and actors from the “2.5D stage play”.
