Is it possible that Shanks’ parents also have Conqueror Haki in One Piece?
In One Piece, most of the strong characters have strong parents. So who are Shanks’ parents?
The parents of Yonko like Whitebeard, Kaido or Big Mom don’t seem to matter. But there are hints that Shanks’ parents are special. And here’s the theory!
1. Most likely Shanks was found by the Pirate King after the incident in God’s Valley
Now that Buggy and Shanks are both 39 years old, and the incident in God’s Valley happened 38 years ago, so it is possible that the Pirate King found Shanks in God’s Valley, when he was only a year old.
In chapter 966, Roger says that it’s been a long time since he held a baby. Since Buggy and Shanks have been on the Pirate King’s ship since they were children, there is a theory that the child Roger carried before was Shanks and even Buggy, based on the ages of the two characters.
Buggy and Shanks are both 39 years old now. And the incident in the Valley of God happened 38 years ago.
Therefore, it is possible that the Pirate King found Shanks in God’s Valley, when he was only a year old.
2. Contemplation of Conqueror Haki
It is possible that Shanks’ parents also possess Conqueror Haki just like their son, as this Haki in One Piece seems to be able to be passed down from parents to their children.
So far, it seems that Conqueror Haki can be passed on from parents to their children. Since Gol D. Roger owns it, so does Portgas D. Ace.
Big Mom possesses Conqueror Haki, and so does Charlotte Katakuri. And if Kaido has it, Yamato also owns it.
Based on these examples, it is highly likely that Shanks’ parents also have Conqueror Haki just like their son.
3. So maybe Shanks’ parents are Rocks D. Xebec?
While Rocks D. Xebec has not been confirmed to have Conqueror Haki, it is possible that Rocks D. Xebec’s Haki is something special, if so it would answer why Shanks’ Haoshoku Haki is so powerful.
If we consider the element of Conqueror Haki and the probability that the Pirate King finds Shanks after the incident in God’s Valley, then this is an interesting hypothesis.
Rocks D. Xebec has not been confirmed to have Conqueror Haki. But do people think that the man who is Roger’s strongest opponent, and can lead Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido and Shiki doesn’t possess that kind of Haki? This seems impossible.
Maybe even Rocks D. Xebec’s Conqueror Haki is something special. If so then it would answer why is Shanks’ Haoshoku Haki so horrifying!
There is also a strange saying by Whitebeard in chapter 434. He said as soon as he saw Shanks’ face: “The wound caused by that bastard hurts again”.
Does Whitebeard mean Pirate King, captain of Shanks? Or Rocks D. Xebec, his dead captain?
4. Could Shanks’ parents be Thien Long Nhan? Or their slaves?
If Shanks is really the son of the Celestial Dragon, I wonder if Shanks’ tears when he was with the Pirate King were because he felt the burden of guilt of his Family?
Another theory is that Shanks’ parents were the Celestial Dragons, or a slave of them. The problem is that during the incident in God’s Valley, there were really no Celestial Dragons or their slaves on the island.
We saw Shanks miraculously meet the Five Elders. Although at Levely, where they should have always been busy.
When it comes to Conqueror Haki, pay attention to Donquixote Doflamingo. Although he was once a Heavenly Dragon, he also has this type of Haki.
