Nagumo Hajime’s greatest enemy in the isekai world of Tortus has finally been revealed in Arifureta’s new Season 2 trailer.
Kodoani.com – Funimation has officially released the Season 2 trailer for Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest, and the video reveals a bit more insight into where the powerful protagonist Nagumo Hajime and his harem will head next. In the final season of Season 1, Shirasaki Kaori, Hajime’s former classmate and lover, has just joined the group on their adventure after a long-awaited reunion. Along with them are Hajime’s main lover and vampire princess Yue, the clumsy rabbit girl Shea, the sadistic dragon Tio, and the cheerful young boy Yue.
Originally premiering in 2019, Arifureta’s anime adaptation has received mixed reviews from the fan base. Receiving only 6.65 on MyAnimeList, the biggest criticisms the isekai anime faces face are the poor pacing and lackluster CGI monsters. Ryo Shirakome and Takayaki’s original light novels are quite popular, however, many fans are willing to give the sequel another chance at redemption.
In the new Season 2 trailer, it is revealed that the group is on their way to Myu’s hometown of Erisen, most likely for her to reunite with her mother. Myu was found and saved by Hajime after being kidnapped by child traffickers in the town they were in. She is currently considered the “daughter” of Hajime and Yue, but the group knows the right thing to do is to return her to her biological mother.
Hajime’s narration continued, mentioning that the devil was plotting against them while they made their next move. In the next scene, a mysterious evil-looking man with red hair is seen copulating with another man with a yellow mullet. It’s safe to assume these two are subordinates of the person the trailer is about to announce next.
After some scenes depicting the extraordinary abilities of the girls in Hajime’s harem, he went on to talk about “the real villain of this world.” Then, viewers get a glimpse of a mysterious powerful-looking woman floating in the sky. The name “Noint” flashed on the screen and the white haired woman was seen unfazed as Hajime tried to shoot her with his gun. Who is this woman? Why is she the real villain of the world? Did she bring Hajime and his classmates to this mysterious world?
All of these questions will hopefully be answered when Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest Season 2 begins airing this January.
