Will Myu Be Reunited With Her Mother?
In Season 1 – Episode 11, Hajime and Shea encounter a mercenary toddler abandoned in the sewer named Myu. She was immediately kidnapped again after Hajime and Shea released her at the city guard headquarters. The main cast eventually saves her from a group of slave traders that trade in monster babies.
The episode ends with Myu wanting to call Hajime “Papa” instead of “Big Brother”. Despite his initial objections, Hajime became very protective of her and treated her like his own daughter. Basically, she was accepted into the “family”, along with Yue, Shea Haulia, and Tori. In the end, Myu revealed to Shea that she had been separated from her mother. So, where is her mother? Will she be reunited with her in the next season, or will she continue traveling with her found family?
Will Yue’s Jealousy Take Advantage?
Also in episode 11, Yue went to lunch with Tio Klarus, getting to know her while Shea and Hajime were dating. While they talked, Tio expressed the thought that Shea wanted to snatch Hajime away from Yue. Yue then calmly explained that she wanted Hajime to be surrounded by people who loved him. Shea may have feelings for Hajime, but Yue knows that they have a special relationship.
This is further demonstrated in the final episode of the season when Hajime rejects Kaori Shirasaki because of his feelings for Yue. Even so, being surrounded by so many women who loved him could tempt Hajime to fall out of love. With Kaori being the newest addition and the only other woman to openly challenge her, will Yue strengthen the bond she has with Hajime, or will it break under pressure?
How Will Kaori Adjust To The New Hajime?
After being separated at the beginning of the season, Hajime and Kaori were finally reunited in Episode 12. She is said to have cared deeply for Hajime in their previous lives. Hajime too, thinking about her when thinking about his past. She immediately recognized the new Hajime as soon as she looked at him, and was so thankful that she burst into tears when they finally reconnected.
At the end of the episode, she confesses her love and asks to join them to be with Hajime. Hajime rejects her, saying that he has feelings for Yue and cannot reciprocate. Even so, Kaori was determined to stay by Hajime’s side. She challenged Yue to prove who loved Hajime the most, and Yue intentionally accepted. Tio notably points out that she’s excited to see how this new animation plays out, and I’m sure viewers feel the same way.
It is clear that Yue still has Hajime’s heart at the end of Season 1. Even the love of Kaori, a woman from his past, is not enough to bury his bond with Yue. For the most part, Tio and Shea had a boundary with Yue that they never dared to cross. However, with Kaori being officially added to the group and challenging Yue, things could change. Perhaps, a new character could pull Hajime off his feet and out of Yue’s arms.
Hajime’s tame might have allowed him to defeat monsters with ease, but they had nothing to do with navigating the complex dynamics in the harem. Hopefully viewers will get a clearer view, with improved animations and CGI, of the main cast’s journey trajectories. In addition to the many questions introduced here, there could also be a possibility that a sequel to the series will return and provide a deeper look into Hajime’s previous life to re-develop his character. Whatever path the creators take, Season 2, currently listed as being released in January 2022, is highly anticipated.
