Studio Lerche is producing a new parallel world anime series titled Rumble Garanndoll as part of Funimation’s upcoming fall anime lineup.
Studio Lerche is a mainstay of the anime industry, featuring iconic animated series like Assassination Classroom and Danganronpa: The Animation, and its latest project, Rumble Garanndoll, due out this fall.
According to Funimation, the original anime series will be part of the streaming service’s upcoming fall lineup, which includes Banished From The Hero’s Party, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act, and Season 2 of Restaurant from Another World .
Rumble Garanndol is directed by Masaomi Andou (Astra Lost in Space, Scum’s Wish) and Akio Watanabe (Prety Rhythm: Aurora Dream, Higurashi When They Cry – Gou) provided the original character designs. Makoto Uezu (Fate/Grand Carnival, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations) is writing the story, which will see a parallel world army fight against Japan in the real world.
The anime stars a veteran voice cast, including Seiichirō Yamashita (Appare-Ranman!, Mob Psycho 100), Fairouz Ai (Monster Girl Doctor), Rina Hidaka (Tiger & Bunny, Sword Art Online), Shiori Izawa (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Samurai Flamenco) and Takuma Terashima (Edens Zero, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?). Furthermore, singer Aina Suzuki was both part of the voice cast and performed the show’s ending theme song “Reverse-Rebirth.”
Rumble Garanndol is expected to launch in October and will be available to stream on Funimation.
