The leaked footage is said to be from the upcoming mobile game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Footage from the Assassin’s Creed Jade playtest has been released online, giving fans the first look at the mobile game. The footage was shared to the Assassin’s Creed Facebook page, then shared to the “Assassin’s Creed” and “Gaming Leaks and Rumors” Reddit pages. The clip is about 2 minutes and 40 seconds long and was recorded on an Apple mobile device, although the person who shared it on the Assassin’s Creed subreddit claims it’s not his phone. Readers can watch the clip here. The short film shows a scene of an invasion and makes it obvious that the game isn’t finished through the character swinging down a rope. Before successfully performing the action, the character takes a while to grasp the rope. This is likely to be the beginning of the game, as the clip has a bunch of basic instructions like how to move and fight, though the instructions above may be for this initial build only.
The character appearing in the clip is called Dengling Bai, but it should be noted that this is just a leak, Ubisoft has not officially confirmed or revealed more details about this project. So Dengling Bai’s identity remains a mystery. Assassin’s Creed Jade announced in September, the open world title will bring Assassin’s Creed to China once again.
