Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Valhalla continues to dominate as one of their most successful titles. According to the company’s recent financial report, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has become Ubisoft’s highest-grossing title in the Assassin’s Creed series to date. Released in November 2020, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the 12th mainline installment in the popular series. During its 14 years of existence, the brand gradually changed. This is the latest installment to follow the studio’s RPG-centric approach. Following its launch, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla recorded the series’ biggest launch yet, selling more copies in its first week than any other Assassin’s Creed installment before it. By October 2021, the title becomes Ubisoft’s second most profitable game.
Ubisoft’s latest financial reports indicate that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has now crossed the $1 billion mark, making it the first installment in the series since its initial launch in 2007. The success of the title The game contributed to the company’s most profitable fiscal quarter to date. This is largely due to the developers regularly updating the game post-launch with seasonal events, item updates, and DLC expansions. Despite being just over a year old, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla already has two expansions – Wrath of the Druids and The Siege of Paris. There are now rumors that Ubisoft is developing a smaller Assassin’s Creed installment, which is scheduled for release in late 2022 or 2023. Though the Ubisoft CEO has yet to comment on the game that appears to be coming. .
According to its official Twitter account, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is expected to receive a major update on February 22. This is followed by a free weekend event and the Dawn of Ragnarok expansion – which is larger than AC Origins. . Now, with the Assassin’s Creed Rift rumours, it will be interesting to see how the story of the 14-year-old series continues to evolve as the franchise continues to maintain its online offerings.
