Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga celebrated the release of its 34th and final volume with a page-wide advertisement in the Asahi Shimbun on Wednesday. The humorous manga drawn by Isayama himself depicts an alternate ending for protagonist Eren: He is reincarnated into modern Japan, only to be immediately hit by a truck, sending him to a so isekai. Eren then continued to use his Titan powers to defeat monsters and inadvertently cause terror to the inhabitants of the fantasy world.
The title of the manga means “At that time I was briefly reincarnated to Japan but then died and reincarnated into another world where no one seemed to care about me that much until I tried to Tried to turn into a Titan for a bit and now suddenly everyone is around me in the palm of my hand.” The title is related to the manga That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime also published by Kodansha .
Manga by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Giants ends the issue of Kodansha Magazine Bessatsu Shonen on the 9th, after many years. The series has inspired a popular television anime, numerous manga and spin-off novels, several spin-off anime, games, and a live-action film project.
