Recently, the author of the Attack on Titan series – Isayama Hajime has shared and revealed his next plan in 2022.
Although still at the top of the list of the most “hated” authors by fans, many people are still looking forward to Isayama Hajime’s next projects after the end of the Attack on Titan series. Recently, the author of Attack on Titan had a few words about his future plans with fans. Accordingly, when January began, Isayama revealed his goal for 2022, contrary to the audience’s expectations, the author of Attack on Titan decided to “take a break” next year and will not write a new series or turn completely into business as he mentioned before. According to Isayama Hajime’s explanation, he needs “work-life balance” and 2022 will be a great time for the author to rest, relax and regain inspiration to create the next manga. .
Obviously not many authors can make the decision to take a year off like Isayama Hajime because if he doesn’t compose, he won’t have any income, but for Isayama, Attack on Titan’s revenue is already a lot and allowing him to rest for a long time without worrying about economic problems.
In fact, no one knows if Isayama Hajime wants to continue to be a manga author, he has previously shared that he wants to run a hot spring business (the bricks for construction are probably from the fans), however until now we have not heard anything about the hot springs of Isayama. And through the new announcement, it seems that this author is implying that he will return after a year of rest with the next works and continue with the same motto:
“My hobby is creating characters that readers will love, and then having their lives filled with tragedy. It’s really interesting to see readers in excruciating pain.”
Isayama Hajime (born August 29, 1986) is a Japanese manga artist. Hajime launched the globally popular “blockbuster” manga Shingeki no Kyojin in 2009, and the 27th volume compiled in Japan on December 7, 2019. Kodansha Comics published the manga in English. The manga has also been adapted into anime, live action, plays, and more. His first series, Shingeki no Kyojin, became one of the best-selling manga series of all time with 90 million copies in circulation as of April 2019.
In the first days of 2019, Hajime announced his own good news on his personal blog that he got married last year. Although the creator of Shingeki no Kyojin did not reveal any information about his life partner, Hajime’s sharing line made fans extremely happy. The gist of the share is that “from now on, he will devote more and more as a comic creator and as an individual to his partner”.
