The final episode of the anime will air as an 85-minute special episode. Linked Horizon and Ai Higuchi will perform the opening and ending themes, “The Last Titan” and “See You Later,” respectively. Both songs will be released on November 5 and will be used to cut episodes of the special. Author Hajime Isayama released a statement thanking MAPPA for their hard work and apologizing for the difficulties they encountered. Attack the giant based on the manga by Hajime Isayama serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The manga ended in April 2021 after 139 chapters, compiled into 34 volumes. The final, 34th volume debuted in June 2021. The manga was adapted into an anime by WIT Studio in 2013. Season 2 debuted in 2017, followed by a third season divided into two parts. The first season aired in the summer of 2018, while the second season began in April 2019. Studio MAPPA took over the franchise for the 4th season, titled Attack on Titan final season. The series began airing in December 2020 and has a total of 16 episodes. After finishing airing in March 2021, Season 2 was announced. Attack on Titan Finale Part 2 started in January last year.
