Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) is a Japanese manga series written by Hajime Isayama. The story is set in the context of humanity living behind three massive walls built to protect humanity from man-eating giants called Titans. The story follows Eren Yeager, the main character of the series, who vows to destroy all Titans in the world after witnessing them destroy walls, ravage his homeland, and eat his mother.
Attack on Titan was serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shounen magazine from September 2009 to April 2021 and was published in 34 volumes. An anime adaptation was produced by Wit Studio (seasons 1–3) and MAPPA (season 4). The first season consisted of 25 episodes that aired from April to September 2013, the second season of 12 episodes that aired from April to June 2017. The third season with 22 episodes aired in two parts, with 12 episodes. aired from July to October 2018, the next 10 episodes aired from April to July 2019. Season four, which is also the final season, began airing the first 16 episodes in December 2020. The remaining episode was broadcast in early 2022 with the official name Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2.
