The final episodes of Attack on Titan are coming, and here’s what fans can expect when the series returns.
Kodoani.com – The long-awaited final season of Attack on Titan: Season two is just a few weeks away as the historical epic saga is coming to an end. After spoilers to end all siege breakers, the series will begin again with Marley’s invasion of Paradis Island to prevent (villain?) Eren Jaeger from unleashing the Founding Titan’s powers. To Marley, it wasn’t a good sign when an army was sent to defeat a man and the man said, “Take it away.” Before long, the second half of the AOT farewell season will reveal whether Eren has the courage to return to the brave.
The first half of Final Season leaves things pretty bleak; The Survey Corps is in turmoil with most of its members imprisoned and Paradis Island has been conquered by Eren’s followers, the Jaegerists. Levi is mortally wounded, Zeke Jaeger is the MIA while most of the Eldian army is infected with his spinal fluid, and Marley ambushes Shiganshina. Attack on Titan There are many plot themes associated with its final episodes, so here are some key plot rhythms that fans can expect as they adjust to The Final Season: Season Two.
The Final Battle Between Eren And Reiner
Eren Jaeger and Reiner Braun have one of the most complicated relationships in the series. Reiner was once someone Eren aspired to be like his arch-enemy whom Eren vowed to kill in the most painful way possible, and now someone Eren could relate to and even be almost forgiven for. Currently, Eren seeks to use the Founding Titan to save Eldia, while Reiner intends to stop Eren in order to save the world. Both of these characters are forced to slaughter people to protect their home, and their impending battle will be the fiercest of both, as both are no longer predators and prey that is simply equal to opposing beliefs.
The Survey Corps Will Have To Choose A Side
Eren spent most of the first half of Final Season pushing his friends away, even going so far as to beat Armin to death and tell Mikasa he’s always hated her. After forcibly attacking Marley alone, the Survey Corps has lost faith in Eren and is working to stop him from carrying out his and Zeke’s plans. After overthrowing the army on Paradis and imprisoning Survey Corps members who opposed the Jaegerist, Eren established himself as an enemy to his closest friends.
However, Marley’s surprise attack on Shiganshina spoils everything, as now the Survey Corps must choose whether they want to help Eren fight or help Marley stop him. Yelena, an ardent Zeke follower, explained the Euthanasia plan to them, and while Armin was moved to tears, others like Jean and Connie were left unimpressed. In the end, it will depend on the strength of their relationship with Eren as to whether they will join him to end the war he started.
Eren And Zeke’s Euthanasia Plan Will Be Central
The driving force of The Final Season was Eren and Zeke’s plan to sterilize the Eldians so they could die peacefully and rid the world of the Titans. If Eren, who possessed the Founding Titan, and Zeke, who had the royal blood necessary to wield it, came into contact, they would have full control over the Eldians and Titans Eren’s intention was to free the Colossus. Titans inside the Wall on Paradis Island to keep his people safe long enough for the dead Eldians to drown the world in blood, and preventing this from happening was precisely why Marley invaded. When the series returns, the battle for the fate of the world will begin, and it’s all because of the Jaeger brothers.
