Kodoani.com – Manga creator Kanato Oka has launched a new manga titled Kenran Bankara on Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype website on Tuesday. The manga is an adaptation of the light novel Junpaku to Ōgon (White and Gold). Chapter 0 premieres on Tuesday, followed by the first chapter on May 3 and the second on May 10.
The manga is set in Japan during the “Golden Age of the Delinquents.” Lawlessness first raged in northern Japan, sending people away and turning it into a lawless land. A man known as the “White Demon” suddenly appeared and defeated the leader, slowly restoring order, before he disappeared, and was passed on as a legend in the wandering world. Now, in the Neko-oka district of Tokyo ruled by criminals, six schools send six representatives to discover a new White Demon.
Kadokawa published the novel Junpaku to Ōgon on January 22. Momoko illustrated the novel, and Ratan is credited for the design.
Oka launched the Days on Fes manga in Comic Newtype in September 2018 and ended it with its fifth volume in September 2020. Yen Press is publishing the manga in English and released the fifth volume on Tuesday.
