Players can try out the 64-player game at NYCC before releasing it in early 2024
Kodoani.com – Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the multiplayer game “Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle: Chomp Champs” and is scheduled to release on multiple platforms in early 2024, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. It is a battle royale game starring of 64 players. In the game, you can customize matchmaking, participate in ranked mode, and view global rankings.
Additionally, players had the chance to test out the game at Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s short event at New York Comic Con on October 13-14.
Previously, Nintendo discontinued the services of Bandai Namco Entertainment and the online multiplayer game “Pac-Man 99” developed by Arika. The game “Pac-Man 99” launches in April 2021 and is available to subscribers of the Nintendo Switch Online service. In this game, 99 players compete to be the last one. Players can send Jammer Pac-Man to opponents by eating Power Pellets and ghosts.
Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Pac-Man franchise was born from the original arcade game in 1980 and has become an icon in the video game industry. The game has also inspired many versions, spin-offs, and even an animated TV series like “Pac-World” in 2013.
