Having just released the short film, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been criticized and mocked by the community for being too similar to the Viego Emperor Viego and the Great Depression event in League of Legends.
The Great Depression is considered one of the biggest events of League of Legends, it brings a lot of changes both in terms of plot as well as gameplay with new characters and content. Typically, the “200-year” generals are Viego, Gwen and a series of other beautiful costumes. Even so, Great Depression is still considered a “flop” product by many gamers – not meeting the expectations of the League of Legends community.
Recently, the game that was sued by Riot Games for plagiarism – Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) has released a short film called “Wedding in the Mist”.

Nothing will happen if this is a normal short film with the purpose of introducing events in the game of MLBB. However, many gamers after watching this short film commented that it was a plagiarized product “colors, plots, shapes, …” of the Great Depression event in League of Legends.
“With all the color, plot, shape, they still decided to show they were copying. The “fog” has been mixed with green and black, the same love story, the same kind of wedding, as if this were the Great Depression 2.0 with lots of nonsense “dull” content crammed in. into it.”
“Haha, don’t you want your company to survive? Vexana? Haha, that’s unwise. The lawsuits are coming.”
“Oh, so Viego turns into a girl in this game? Haha.”
“Queen of Doom, hahaha.”
“I smell litigation.”
“The Great Depression has already happened.”
“Viego and Isolde look different, don’t they?”
“They stole the story of Viego and Isolde, hahaha.”
“Oh my god, Viego is transgender.”
Some fans even watched the short film during the Great Depression to compare it with the new MLBB short film.
Previously, Vexana (the main character in the short film above) was an old champion of MLBB that was released in 2017. But more than a month ago, Vexana was redone in a “suspicious” way. That’s back in MLBB as the “Queen of Fallen” in the game’s latest event.
A month ago, Riot Games filed a lawsuit against MLBB for plagiarism, that lawsuit is “not yet cool” but MLBB has continued to launch a controversial product and event like this. Although it is not known whether Riot Games will sue both the short film as well as this event, but MLBB is receiving a lot of criticism from the gaming community.
