It would be interesting to see if the Uzumaki clan would later acquire eyebending in Boruto.
The current Uzumaki clan is practically extinct. The remaining members of the Uzumaki are now just descendants, and Naruto is probably the new head of the clan.
But there is an interesting detail about Uzumaki with his eyebending.
1. The Uzumaki clan didn’t possess eyebending before
Eyebending is the genetic ability that ninjas have using their eyes, allowing them to perceive chakra in a variety of ways. All Eyebending gives the user many abilities that are not available to ordinary people, such as expanded vision or foresight.
Some clans are even famous for the power of their eyes such as the Hyuga and the Uchiha. Even so, the Uzumaki weren’t known to be a family that possessed jutsu, but rather they were famous for their use of sealing.
Because of that, the Uzumaki clan was wiped out, because their sealing technique was too strong and scary in wartime.
2. Boruto and Himawari changed the entire Uzumaki clan
Since Naruto’s time, the Uzumaki have really changed and are no longer a clan that focuses on sealing techniques. The era continues, and it is possible that Uzumaki will change in the future and gain more jutsu.
This is because the two children of the current head of the Uzumaki clan, Boruto and Himawari, both possess jutsu. Boruto has the Jougan, while Himawari has the Byakugan.
3. Even so, genetically, their children are unlikely to inherit the power of eyes
In addition to coercion or theft, jutsu can be acquired through heredity. Although Boruto or Himawari could pass the power of their eyes to their children later so that the Uzumaki clan would possess jutsu, it was very difficult.
We will discuss them one by one, starting with Boruto. At first, his eye was only given to him by Toneri, but it is unknown if Jougan will be permanently given to Boruto or not.
If this eye was given forever, it would be like Kakashi owning the Sharingan but he couldn’t give it to his son because it wasn’t in Kakashi’s genetics. As for Himawari, it will be more difficult for her children to receive the Byakugan, unless Himawari marries another Hyuga clan.
The reason explained in the novel Itachi Shinden, Mukai Kohinata, a character who is a hybrid between Hyuga and another clan, he only has a Byakugan in his left eye. Meanwhile, Himawari is a special case.
Now, the children of the Hyuga clan but are not purebred, their bloodline is too diluted, it is more difficult for future children to get the power from the eyes. But everyone, wait and see, it might be cool if the Uzumaki clan possessed jutsu!
