The Magical Knights seem to have finally dealt a decisive blow to Lucifero, but the Demon King may not be able to do it on them.
Kodoani.com – The following has spoilers for Black Clover page 329.
Chapter 329 of Black Clover, sees the Magical Knights of the Clover Kingdom reach a major milestone. After many chapters battling the Spade Kingdom, not only were its cruel rulers subdued, but the threat of the Tree of Qliphoth was contained. The battle with the Demon King Lucifero was finally over. Or so it seems.
After seeing Lucifero knocked unconscious, it seemed that was the end for him. Not only that, the heroes have almost nothing left to fight with; even if Lucifero wakes up, there’s nothing they can do. It makes logical, narrative sense to assume the war is over. However, as Lucifero said, he was still making hats. To better understand how this battle could play out, here’s a look at what’s been happening in Black Clover lately, specifically with Page 329.
The most important thing to remember is that Magic Knights are not in terms of fighting with not real bodies. He used a combination of demonic bodies to represent his other half in the human world. In other words, not only was he not really there, but he hadn’t even used his full strength.
With that said, perhaps for the best this is how things go. Even with half of his abilities, maybe even less, Lucifero has proven himself to be more than the Captains of the Magical Knights. He also suggests that half of his maximum strength is enough to wipe out humanity. It’s good that their win condition is merely this half stop, or nothing to say how bad things will turn out.
Special thanks to Asta and Liebe. Go to Page 328, the two of them used the latest version of their Demon Alliance to literally cut the Demon King down. Without the two of them, the other Magic Knights might not have been able to finish off Lucifero.
This is where the events of Page 329 really start to matter. In this chapter, what was left of Lucifero’s avatar broke it, swore revenge, but Yuno used his Star Magic to teleport him back to Asta, who eventually took down the devil. with his Demon Slayer. Thus, the King of Demons passed out and Adrammelech, a demon who had always watched the war, declared the victory of mankind.
It seems that, in fact, Lucifero has been defeated. However, this is not the last thing anyone will hear from him. Lucifero intends to eventually return with half of his remaining power to wipe out the Magic Knights who have humiliated him.
As for whether Lucifero’s loss in the first half means anything going on, that remains to be seen. Maybe his magic will return from the moment it appeared. Of course, that means all Asta does is make sure the door hits him on his way out. This would be a fun way to defeat the most arrogant demon, but it would also diminish the Magic Knights’ victory.
If the Magical Knights really wanted to make something out of their conquest, they could capture and seal half of this Lucifero’s defeated power. It would deal a meaningful blow to the strength of their enemies. In addition, Asta still had to present physical evidence of her nearby demon in order to return to the Clover Kingdom; The King of Demons must be the best proof imaginable for that. There are ways to capture Lucifero other than simply defeating him which can benefit the story.
If this happens, future events could revolve around Lucifero’s other half attempting to reunite with his lost powers and achieve his perfect form. This would be a good way to keep him as a threat relevant to the story while also giving other villains a chance to get noticed. Whatever happens, Lucifero is expected to one day return to his full potential.
For now, the Magic Knights could consider Lucifero defeated. As for whether he will return, the answer is almost certainly yes. Not only will he not be completely defeated, but he will likely return at least twice as terrible as his most recent battle. Until then, Asta and her fellow Magical Knights will have plenty of time to recuperate, train, and do whatever else they have to do to prepare for the inevitable final battle. there.
