This May, the famous Japanese robotic cat and his group of friends will return with a new movie called Doraemon The Movie: Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021 – Vietnamese title: Movie Doraemon: Nobita and the Cosmic War Tiny 2021.
The name of the film makes the audience immediately think of the famous Star Wars franchise by George Lucas. However, this is not the first time that the Doraemon series has reminded the audience of popular movie franchises.
Doraemon: The Record of Nobita’s Parallel Visit (1988) and Journey to the West
Doraemon: The Record of Nobita’s Parallel Visit – roughly translated: Doraemon: Nobita Journey to the West is the 9th animated film of the Doraemon brand, directed by Shibayama Tsutomu. The work is inspired by Journey to the West – a classic novel of Chinese literature and is familiar to Vietnamese audiences through the TV series of the same name.
The script is about Nobita who wants to prove that Sun Wukong with 72 miracles like in the story he has read is real. With Doraemon, he returns to the Tang Dynasty and discovers that the characters in the novel are just fiction.
Afraid of being ridiculed by his friends, Nobita borrowed Doraemon’s treasure to transform himself into Sun Wukong. However, he also accidentally let the youkai escape because he forgot to turn it off after using it. Doraemon’s group of friends must transform into Journey to the West characters to chase the demon.

Movie Doraemon: Nobita and Hidden Island (Doraemon: Nobita’s Treasure Island) – The 38th film of the Doraemon franchise inspired by the novel Treasure Island by writer Robert Louis Stevenson. The work is one of the familiar stories with children all over the world, inspiring many other popular culture publications. The novel has been adapted into a movie more than 50 times. Prominent among them are two films made by Walt Disney in 1996 and 2002.
The project is scripted by Genki Kawamura – producer of Your Name The Boy and the Beast. The content revolves around Nobita, after hearing about the story of Hidden Gold Island, wants to have his own adventure to find the treasure.
However, the Earth at that time was explored by man in every corner, from the sky to the sea. Doraemon gives him a treasure map of a mysterious island full of gold. On the journey, Nobita and his friends encounter the dangerous pirates of Captain Silver and must find a way to save Shizuka who is being kidnapped by them.

However, the script will be completely different from the original by filmmaker George Lucas. During summer vacation, Nobita happened to meet a tiny alien named Papi. He is the President of the planet Pirika, a small star in the distant universe, who came to Earth to escape the invasion of the rebels.
Nobita and friends decided to use miniature flashlights to transform themselves to Papi’s size. They gradually became close to this alien guy. However, the happy summer break is disrupted when Papi’s enemies come to Earth in search of him. Not wanting to affect his friends, Papi intends to fight the enemy alone. However, Nobita and the group did not let go and set out to help their new friend on a distant planet.
Like other works of the same brand, Movie Doraemon: Nobita and the Tiny Universe War 2021 will bring a story rich in humanity about friendship.
