During the journey to the West of Bliss, Tang Sang and his 3 disciples encountered countless demons. One of the most difficult names is the eagle Kim Si Dieu.
Kim Si Dieu riots at Linh Son Tu
He is the son of Phoenix, claiming to be the uncle of Buddha Tathagata, younger brother of Confucius Dai Minh Vuong Bodhisattva. Kim Si Dieu is also one of the few monsters that can defeat Sun Wukong.
Worth mentioning, Kim Si Dieu also had the courage to make an uproar at Linh Son Temple, trying to kill the Tathagata to capture Lei Yin Temple. Because of the great cause of destroying the body, Buddha made Kim Si Dieu appear in his original form, perched on his shoulder and gave him refuge.
However, despite having conquered the eagle, Buddha “forgave” the princess Kong Tuoc. This detail made many netizens wonder why Tathagata did not capture the “Princess” for short.
Before that, Princess Kong Tuoc also hindered Tang Tang’s teachers and students in going to get sutras.
Buddha Tathagata once introduced about the origin of eagles and peacocks. From the beginning of time, among all flying species, the phoenix is considered the lord.
The phoenix gave birth to two divine birds with the power to establish a nation, the peacock and the eagle, so to a certain extent these two species are closely related.
The Buddha Tathagata was once swallowed by the Confucius, so he intended to take Kong’s life to help the world.
The gods and buddhas intervened, saying that if the Buddha killed Confucius, it would be like killing his parents. After that, Khong Tuoc was ordained as Buddha Mother, taking the title of Khong Tuoc Dai Minh Vuong Bodhisattva.
Princess Kong Tuoc in Journey to the West
In Journey to the West, the character of the princess Kong Tuoc is not the one mentioned above. But she is the daughter of Khong Tuoc, a descendant with a close relationship, so she is also considered a demon with a high family background.
In terms of roles, if Khong Tuoc is the mother of Buddha, then her daughter – Princess Kong Tuoc is the sister of the Tathagata. Is it possible that Buddha Tathagata did not do anything to Princess Confucius for the sake of friendship?
In addition, “Miss Cong” did not do anything too much. She was not arrogant like an eagle, nor did she intend to harm Tang Tang’s teachers and students. Later, she also helped Wukong’s group find their master.
This shows that Princess Kong Tuoc has an honest heart. Therefore, Buddha Tathagata had no reason to take her away.
So in general, regardless of the princess’s background, Tathagata Buddha will not do anything to her, anyway she has a benevolent heart, this is enough, leaving her is also harmless.
