Renowned leaker Tom Henderson tweeted that Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is in development, which is expected to launch this year.
In addition to project products such as Call of Duty 19: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone, Activision is also developing Call of Duty 20 (released in 2023).
This hasn’t been officially announced yet, so remember to take this as a guess. If the game does indeed launch before the year expires, Activision may be looking to adapt its release to Warzone, which is meant to be an announcement.

In July 2021, the media reported that Activision was developing another mobile game Call of Duty. Call of Duty Mobile was previously developed by TiMi of Tencent.
Activision’s own Call of Duty mobile game, led by Activision’s newly formed mobile game studio Solid State, will be a Level 3A mobile game.
In October 2021, Activision acquired Digital Legends, a mobile game developer in Barcelona, Spain, to support the development of a new Call of Duty game. In addition, Beenox and Activision Shanghai also participated.
Considering the huge success of Call of Duty Warzone and Call of Duty Mobile, it makes perfect sense for Activision to develop a mobile version of Call of Duty Warzone. In recent years, a number of battle royale games have begun or are planned to land on mobile platforms, including EA’s Apex Legends.
While Warzone’s experience on mobile will certainly be different from the console and PC versions, Activision will likely find a way to somehow keep the core experience intact.
Call of Duty Warzone Mobile will launch this year.
In recent years, Activision has been expanding Call of Duty IP in a number of different ways beyond the annual new installments in the series. Two of the most prominent spin-offs are Warzone and Call of Duty Mobile, both of which are wildly successful in their own right. Now, it looks like Activision is looking to combine both titles in a new way in the near future.
“Leaker” Henderson doesn’t have many details to share about the project, but he did say that it is the fourth Call of Duty game currently scheduled for release before the end of 2023. under development as stated.
In theory, this move makes a lot of sense for Activision given the aforementioned success of both Warzone and Call of Duty Mobile. Not to mention, battle royale games have started to become more popular on mobile devices in recent years, which means that bringing Warzone to mobile platforms isn’t even that difficult.
