Kodoani.com – Anime “Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc” revealed a lot of new information on the official website. This is the second season of the 2018-2019 Captain Tsubasa anime series. The new cast and new character images were revealed that day.

Additionally, it has also been confirmed that Jun Fukuyama will be joining the cast as Karl Heinz Schneider. Returning cast members include Yuko Sanpei as Tsubasa Ōzora, Kenichi Suzumura as Genzō Wakabayashi, Takuya Satō as Kojirō Hyūga, Ayaka Fukuhara as Tarō Misaki, Yuichiro Umehara as Ken Wakashimazu, Mutsumi Tamura as Ryo Ishisaki, Wataru Hatano as Hikaru Misaki.
This new season is directed by Katsumi Ono, replacing Toshiyuki Kato. Studio KAI is in charge of the animation production for the new season. Atsuhiro Tomioka will continue to oversee the series’ scripts. Hajime Watanabe continues to serve as the character designer and animation director, while Noriko Ogura continues as the supporting character designer.
The series is expected to premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates in October.
The original manga series Captain Tsubasa 1981-1988 by author Yōichi Takahashi became the inspiration for this anime. The anime content recreates the story from the beginning of the main manga. The previous anime season ended on the 52nd episode in April 2019.
The content of the football series revolves around Tsubasa Ōzora, an 11-year-old boy who is passionate about football and is recognized by coach Roberto for his outstanding athletic skills. Together with the coach, Tsubasa traveled to Brazil to train for the World Cup.
