According to statistics from Newzoo, in 2021, the total revenue of the global mobile game market is 90.7 billion USD. In which, China leads the world with revenue of 31.37 billion USD. Followed by the US, Japan, Korea, India, United Kingdom, Germany, Indonesia, Canada, and others.
The US is still the region where Chinese games appear with the highest revenue.
In 2021, in terms of the global game market size, from the total game scale to the mobile game sector, China will still lead the world. In the mobile game market, the US and Japan followed with $14.78 billion and $12.39 billion, respectively.
The share of mobile games in the overall gaming market is as high as 92% in India and the Indonesian market is also approaching 80%. The mobile game market still occupies a dominant position.
In addition, the Top 100 games on the Google Play Store in various countries in the free list show that the number of Chinese games accounts for about 5% to 20%.
Specifically, mainland-produced mobile games in the UK market account for about 5% to 20%, in Korea about 20%. In the list, the number of Chinese games with the highest revenue accounts for about 20% to 50%, of which the number of games in the US and Indian markets accounts for about 22%. The number of Chinese games in the Indonesian market accounts for a high proportion of 44%.
