According to the latest research, scientists at Beijing Jiaotong University have created a device that reads brain waves, which detect changes in the brain when a person looks at pornographic images.
This helmet with brainwave recognition is intended for people who work as “porn appraisers” to assist them in monitoring and identifying images deemed inappropriate. When wearing this hat, just looking at an erotic image for half a second, the body can already react by raising the eyebrows. To determine how accurate the hat was, the hat was tested with 25 male volunteers aged 20 to 25, showing them sexually explicit images that covered sensitive locations to comply with Chinese law. Quoc, then determine the brainwave at the right time to watch 18+ content.
As a result, the Chinese “mind-reading” hat operates with an accuracy rate of 80%. The device, the researchers say, is sophisticated enough to filter out brainwaves that are similar but generated by other brain processes such as thinking, fatigue or when emotions affect the brain.
One problem with this hat is that the testing process only involves male volunteers, and the very hot job called porn appraiser is mostly taken up by women in China. Their job is to look at thousands of thousands of content on the internet to determine if there are 18+ elements in it, then mark it for digital platform management and government to handle.
