In addition to THQ Nordic’s upcoming Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, the franchise could also receive a new DLC, according to a leak.
Since the original Destroy All Humans! remade in 2020, the conversation around the hit classic series only seems to grow more and more in the fan base. A recent leak suggests that THQ Nordic, the studio behind, may be looking to build on this growing interest by injecting multiplayer elements into Destroy All Humans!. While not their best-selling title, the 2020 title seems to have garnered a lot of positive reactions from longtime fans. The conversation around the franchise was amplified by the remake of Destroy All Humans! was released on Xbox Game Pass last year.
In an upcoming announcement from THQ Nordic, a leaked listing of the Clone Carnage DLC has been spotted on the Xbox Store. According to the post, Clone Carnage is a standalone multiplayer DLC that features four modes and six maps. It also says that the game includes up to four multiplayer and split-screen to allow players to “double damage” in two-player. The four modes listed are Rampage, Armageddon, Race and Abduction, with each mode providing its own spin to the player.
The leak follows last year’s announcement of a sequel to the 2020 remake of Destroy All Humans! under the heading Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed!. As such, the upcoming remake will follow the same approach as the 2020 remake, where players will control the familiar protagonist – Crypto. The trailer gives fans a glimpse of what’s to come, complete with open-level settings and a big visual upgrade. Currently in development. Incidentally, Clone Carnage is listed for Xbox One, which could indicate that the DLC might release cross-platform.
Currently, it is not clear when the studio will officially share details about Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage. However, THQ Nordic may get an update at the upcoming Summer Game Fest or at THQ Nordic’s own Summer Gaming Showcase scheduled for August 12. Still, it will be interesting to see where the series goes. after the remake of the title in 2006 and now with DLC allowing multiplayer. Time will tell how the brand will be received in the future.
