Kodoani.com – Game developer aNCHOR has officially launched a crowdfunding campaign for the game’s “redevelopment project” Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (KimiNozo) developed by Age. The campaign was initially scheduled to launch on October 21, but was launched ahead of schedule. The campaign goal is to collect 30,000,000 yen (approximately US$201,000) by December 29, at 11:59 p.m. Japan time.
Currently, this campaign has successfully raised 21,030,170 yen (about 141,000 US dollars) as of the time of writing. The larger goal they aim for is to collect 45,000,000 yen (about US$302,000). Once this goal is achieved, they will create a new story without dubbing, depicting how the characters Haruka and Mitsuki met.
In addition to creating a fundraising campaign, Muv-Luv Portal has also launched a website with English instructions on how to contribute to the project. This campaign has established nine different reward levels for participating participants.
The game Kimi ga Nozomu Eien originally launched in August 2001 for the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast and PC platforms. Age released an improved version of the game in 2008 titled Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, adding enhanced graphics, expanded scenarios, and other improvements. Degica announced in 2016 that they would use Kickstarter to fund the game’s remake project.
